Eastern White Pine

Eastern White Pine can be found along the Appalachian Range from Georgia to Canada. Because of its lower strength and lightweight, it is easily workable no matter the application. Known for its knotty appearance, it does an excellent job of creating a rustic look.

Bald Cypress

North Carolina is home to one of the oldest trees in North America — the Bald Cypress. These marshland trees have been known to live longer than 2000 years, which testifies to their longevity when applied to the build environment. Highly decay resistant, while moderately strong and stable, makes this a great choice for post and beam structures, especially given its intriguing color.

Sitka Spruce

Sitka Spruce is another species that loves the moist air of a coastal environment. Grown along the west coast from California to southern Alaska, it is a great species for trusses or other engineered applications that require good strength without compromising appearance. Uniform knots, fine texture, and a vibrant white color make this a beautiful choice for timber framing that commands attention.
